Capturing Ben's First Birthday | Cake Smash | Tsawwassen Family Photographer

Baby Ben's first birthday was a special milestone and his family wanted to capture this moment with a photography session. Luckily for them, I'm a Tsawwassen-based family photographer who specializes in capturing these precious moments!

We started off the session with portraiture shots of Baby Ben on his own, then moved onto bringing in the rest of the family for some beautiful group shots. He was all smiles during our time together and everyone had such a great time!

To end off our wonderful session, we did an adorable cake smash that absolutely melted my heart. Even though he had never experienced one before, Baby Ben took to it so naturally - it seemed like he'd done it many times before! It was so much fun to watch him enjoy his first birthday cake and celebrate with everyone present.

The photography session of Baby Ben on his first birthday was truly a special one - I'm so honored that I had the privilege of capturing this moment for him and his family! It's moments like these that remind me why I love what I do, and why being a family photographer in Tsawwassen is such an amazing job.

I'm sure Baby Ben will always look back at these photos fondly when he gets older - they'll be reminders of how loved he has been from the very beginning!

Capturing the Ward Family: A Family Photoshoot Experience at Community Baby Studio in Tsawwassen

Photographing a family can be a beautiful and rewarding experience, especially when the family is as warm and loving as the Wards. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing them in my new home photography studio, and it was an absolute delight. Their calm, kind, and positive energy made the whole session such a wonderful experience, especially as baby sister giggled at her big sister during the shoot. I am excited to share with you my experience of capturing the beauty of the Ward family during our family photoshoot at Community Baby Studio in Tsawwassen.

As soon as the Wards entered my studio, I could feel their positive energy and love for each other. It was easy to see the special bond between the sisters as they laughed and interacted. The Ward family came prepared with outfits that matched perfectly, which worked beautifully in creating a stunning family portrait. During the shoot, we used various props and backdrops to create a fun and fresh atmosphere. The playful expressions and smiles of the Ward family were truly a joy to capture.

We started the session with some playful shots of the sisters together, big sister was so excited and giggled throughout the entire shoot. The love between them was evident, and it made the photoshoot all the more magical.

Next, we moved on to the beautiful family portraits. Every family is unique, and the Wards are no exception. We caught some amazing group shots that really captured their love and joy for each other. Incorporating the natural light of the studio, we were able to bring out the warmth and beauty that radiated from their family.

As the session continued, I noticed that the little one was getting a bit fussy. So, instead of trying to force more poses from the babies, we decided to focus on capturing candid shots of her and momma interacting in a natural way. This approach created some of the most beautiful moments of the session: authentic, loving, and sincere shots of the family enjoying spending time together.

Photographing the Ward family was such an enjoyable experience. The love that they shared for each other and the positive energy they brought to the studio made the session full of laughter and magic. Community Baby Studio in Tsawwassen provided the perfect backdrop to capture the beauty of the Ward family. Through our session, we were able to capture not just pictures, but moments in time that they will cherish for years to come. As a photographer, I feel so blessed to have been a part of the Ward family's story, and I hope to capture more stories just like theirs in the future. To all the moms out there, cherish your loved ones and don't forget to capture these precious moments on film. They are moments that will last a lifetime.

First Birthday Cake Smash & Portrait Session | Tsawwassen Baby Photographer

My photography studio in Tsawwassen is the perfect spot for a first birthday portrait session for your little one. The natural light studio in my home is simplistic, allowing you to focus on what’s really important, your beautiful baby! My goal is to capture your littles in a timeless way. Creating portraits that you’ll print for your walls for years to come. The outfits provided are sourced from the best baby clothing companies from around the world.

All of the cake smash sessions come with a white custom cake and stand allowing it a stress free experience for mom and a cake I know will photograph beautifully.

The session time is 45 minutes and 2 outfit changes. The first half an hour we will take portraits of your baby with simple props I provide (and you get to choose). The last 15 minutes of the session is the cake smash.

I encourage printing of the portraits to be on fine art paper for a timeless look.

R + B Couple Photos Session | Centennial Beach Tsawwassen | Community Photography South Delta

Ray Win and Bruce are two of my kids favorite people. I’ve known them for 2 years now when I trusted Ray Win with the day to day care of my children at her daycare. As a mother, choosing a daycare is hard. Harder than I ever imagined. I went to check out a bunch when Tom was one and immediately when I walked into Ray Win’s I knew this was the place I wanted to send my kids. Georgia, will always reach for Ray Win when we arrive in the morning and is so happy when I leave her for the day. Bruce began calling my son Tommy Gun and now Tom insists that’s what we call him. Bruce, I’m not sure I’ve told you this, but when Tom see’s you at daycare, he talks about it, a lot LOL!

We planned their photo session originally in November. They had just eloped in Hawaii and wanted to do some local portraits. After our photo session was rained out 3 times we decided to wait for the summer and I’m so glad we did!

I met Bruce and Ray Win down at Centennial Beach. It was a perfect evening. Warm with light cloud cover, I knew we would have a beautiful sunset. We spent the hour we had together just having a good time. They were so relaxed and we just took our time capturing some great photos.

Ray Win and Bruce, thanks for hanging out with me at Centennial Beach for your photo session. It was such a good time! I really hope we can do it again soon! You guys are a dream to photograph!

Welcome Baby Levi | Calgary Newborn Photos | Community Photography South Delta

I’ve known Janelle and Steve as a couple for a long time. 8 years to be exact. They both love hiking, the outdoors, travelling, music, they both LOVE life and making the most of every day.

They moved to Calgary about a year ago. The last time I had seen them was over the Christmas holidays when they came to Tsawwassen so we could take their Centennial Beach maternity photos. When I gave them a hug goodbye at the end of the weekend, I knew the next time I would see them, they would be parents.

Baby Levi was born in January. I booked my flight for the end of February to Calgary so I could meet her and take her newborn photos. When I arrived in Calgary it was -17’C (that was a high, it went down to -25’C at night). Janelle pulled up at the airport with baby Levi in the back seat. I got in the car (I rode in the back, with Levi, of course) and saw this little human I had only met over Facetime. She was a perfect mix of both her parents.

I spent the weekend with Janelle, Steve and Levi. Its the coolest thing to see friends, who I’ve known for years, take on their next adventure of being parents. The new love for this little human was extreme. If you couldn’t tell they loved the child by the way they interacted with her, you would know it by Janelle telling Levi she loved her a few times in one hour. I’ll also have to give poppa props to Steve. This guy is breaking the barriers of a hands on dad. Bottle feeding, changing diapers, rocking her, he even took her for a couple hours while us went for a local dinner.

Janelle and Steve, thanks for letting me take these photos of Levi. I loved capturing this time in your lives. She is a doll and I can’t wait for our kids to grow up together. Hopefully they’ll be a little less wild than we were but I hope they live life as full as we did/do! Love you guys and can’t wait to see you!

K + D WHYTECLIFF PARK MATERNITY PHOTOS | WEST VANCOUVER | COMMUNITY PHOTOGRAPHY SOUTH DELTA

I generally stick close to sunny Tsawwassen for my photoshoots. However, I'm always up for an adventure to take photos at a new location around the Lowermainland! I was really excited when Kim and Dimitri asked me to take their maternity photos at Whytcliff Park in West Vancouver. A quick google search proved this location to be a stunner and when I arrived it did not disappoint!
