There’s something extra special about photographing newborn twins — double the sweetness, double the connection, and a whole lot of love. This recent newborn session in my Tsawwassen home studio was one of those sessions that just stayed with me.
These twin boys came in with their incredibly loving parents, who were calm, present, and clearly soaking in every moment of this brand-new chapter. The early days with twins can feel like a blur, which is exactly why newborn photos like these are so meaningful — they freeze time in a season that moves far too fast.
As a Tsawwassen photographer with a cozy home studio, my approach to newborn photography is very lifestyle-focused. I keep things relaxed, natural, and baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, and settling. With twins especially, flexibility is key — and this family leaned right into the slow, gentle pace of the session.
One of my favourite parts of this session was how the parents incorporated their love of tennis into the photos. They brought along the cutest tennis-themed props, adding a personal touch that made the images even more meaningful. It’s always such a joy when families bring elements of their story into the session — those details are what make your photos feel timeless and uniquely yours.
The twin boys were photographed both together and individually, capturing their bond while also honouring their own tiny personalities. There’s something so powerful about seeing twins curled up side by side, just as they were before they entered the world.
