Last year, I had the joy of photographing 12 amazing families—some familiar faces and even a new family! Despite the forecast predicting rain all week, we lucked out with an overcast sky and sunny breaks (a photographer’s dream lighting!). We spent the day laughing among the forest backdrop, creating truly special memories.

The grand finale? My last session of the day with one adventurous family who embraced a sudden downpour with joy and laughter. It’s the most wonderful time of the year—Christmas Mini Sessions are back and better than ever! This year, I had the absolute pleasure of hosting festive photo sessions at the beautiful Westham Island Herb Farm in Ladner, and it was pure magic.

A Magical Winter Wonderland

Picture this—a cozy barn space with vintage charm, decked out with everything Christmas dreams are made of. We transformed the barn with flocked Christmas trees, twinkling hanging stars, and the soft glow of natural light streaming through the big barn windows. Despite the pouring rain outside, we kept warm and festive inside the space. It honestly felt like stepping into a page of a holiday storybook!

Being a South Delta Photographer, creating a space where families could come together to celebrate the holiday spirit was such a joy. Each photo session wasn’t just about capturing beautiful photos—it was about creating memories in such a dreamy setting.

Families, Laughter, and Holiday Magic

It was amazing to see so many familiar faces this year! I had lots of families return—past clients who had made attending these mini sessions part of their holiday traditions. There’s something so special about watching these little ones grow year after year!

And then, there were the new families I got to meet. Each brought their own energy, joy, and excitement to the day. From wide-eyed toddlers marveling at the trees to giggly siblings posing together, every session was uniquely heartwarming.
