There’s something so special about capturing those early weeks of life — the love, the tiny details, the sleepy stretches, and all the quiet moments in between. I recently had the joy of photographing a beautiful newborn session for a couple who just welcomed their first baby — a sweet little boy, just 6 weeks old.

We took the photos in the comfort of their home, which always makes for the most relaxed and genuine sessions. There’s nothing quite like documenting a new family right where all the love is unfolding. The natural light, cozy spaces, and personal touches throughout their home created the perfect setting for these first memories.

This session was filled with so much love — soft snuggles, first-time parent wonder, and two absolutely adorable dogs who were more than happy to be part of the action. Including pets in newborn sessions is always a treat, and these two pups were clearly already in love with their new little brother.

It was a calm, sweet, love-filled morning and I feel so lucky to have captured these moments for this new family of five (yes, dogs count!).
