Boundary Bay Family Photos | Tsawwassen, BC | Community Photography South Delta

I LOVED taking photos with Sanj and her family! This family photo session was originally planned for back in February, however, due to a combination of weather and Covid we pushed the date to May. And I can say Iā€™m SO happy we did! We had a sunset to remember and one of the first beautiful and warm evenings of the year.

I met Sanj and her beautiful family down from Centennial Beach in Boundary Bay for their family photos. They looked amazing wearing blue and their energy was so amazing to be around. I could tell from the start the way they laughed and smiled their photos would turn out just perfect.

We spent the evening laughing, playing and enjoying the beach and the sunset. The Boundary Bay sunset was a perfect pastel blue. They made my job so easy and effortless by just enjoying this time together as a family, which you can totally see come through in their photos.

Sanj, thank you SO much for choosing me to capture these moments for you! I loved our time together and hopefully we can do it again down the road!

Billinger Family Photos in Boundary Bay || Tsawwassen, BC

I canā€™t think of a year where documenting your happy family memories has ever been more important. Time moves fast and can change in an instant Or, it can feel like a blur of days, weeks and months that are all the same, especially in 2020, the year of Covid. Which makes it super important to capture the moments on camera.

Remember the summer of 2020? The summer days felt like everything was almost back to normal, or maybe we were just getting used to our new way of life. It was great.

Looking back on these images, everything felt so soft and lovely and romantic, and I just loved how the Billinger family made one of my much loved photo locations totally their own. Carlie, Shawn and their beautiful golden haired daughter giggled, snuggled, laughed and tickled their way through this gorgeous family session,.

Thanks Carlie for asking me to take your family photos. I love shooting with you and your family. It is such a pleasure and I canā€™t wait to do it again sometime soon :)

Centennial Beach Family Photos with the Marelic Family | Tsawwassen, BC

I hope this blog post brings you a little sunshine on such a classic Vancouver snow day! This family photo session was taken on a balmy summer evening last summer. It was the first day the Washington State wildfire smoke rolled into Tsawwassen. I was on the phone earlier in the day with Mom Chelsea (of Plasma Skin Pro - side note, she gives the BEST manicures and facials too!) and we even considered cancelling because of the smokeā€¦and Iā€™m sure glad we didnā€™t. The smoke, as unfortunate as the wildfires were :( made for really pretty lighting for their family photo session.

I met up with the Marelic family at Centennial Beach just as golden hour was approaching. I LOVED the dress Chelsea had chosen to wear and her two girls were in the most beautiful dresses from Little Luxe Childrenā€™s Boutique in South Surrey. Chelsea had also brought the most gorgeous flower crowns from Our Little Flower Company. Small details like flower crowns always make for the most memorable photos!

We spent the next hour hanging out at Centennial Beach, playing in the water and the Marelic family just enjoyed time being together! So much love between these four and it was so great being able to capture these moments on camera for them.

To the Marelic Family, thank you for meeting up with me on this beautiful evening at Centennial Beach for your family photos. It was such a pleasure shooting with you guys :) I hope we can do it again sometime!

Boundary Bay Family Photos with the MacKenzie's | Tsawwassen, British Columbia

The BEST family photos are when the parents embrace the moment with their kids and let go of perfection. This way, it allows for so many beautiful candid moment and your kids feel comfortable to be themselves. Their personality is what I want to capture and when parents go with the flow and enjoy the moment, kids shine so bright! And that is just what happened with Kristin from ā€˜Birth with Kristinā€™ and her husband Shawn. They embraced the beautiful chaos that 3 kids under 5 brings. Their patience and easy nature made for a memorable photo session. Kristin even made a comment that she was just happy her daughter didnā€™t wear her Spider Man costume to the session..but if she had..so be it :)

It was a beautiful summer night in August when I met the MacKenzie family in Boundary Bay for their family photos. Not a cloud in the sky and warm temperature, even after the sun went down. We started with their photo shoot with youngest son Aceā€™s cake smash photos. I had taken Aceā€™s newborn photos last year (you can check them out here!) and I canā€™t believe it was already his 1st Birthday! We got some great shots of him digging into his cake and even BETTER shots once his two older sister joined in the fun!

After his cake smash and a quick outfit change (the girls were wearing the cutest Rylee & Cue dresses from Buttercups Childrenā€™s Boutique in Ladner), we headed down to the beach in Tsawwassen for more family photos. The night had a perfect sunset and the family had fun with each other, laughing, cuddling and in the end climbing onto a log that had washed ashore.

To the Mackenzie family, you guys are seriously SO much fun to take photos with. Your calm and loving energy is so present it shows in all your photos. I hope we can do it again soon!

Reid Family Photos | Centennial Beach, Tsawwassen | Community Photography South Delta

Mom Megan and I had been chatting about her family photo session for some time over e-mail. I had taken her friends family photos and thatā€™s how she came across my name. I didnt know going into her session that I actually knew her from way back in the day. When I saw her familiar face at Centennial Beach, I was brought back to my first job as a phone girl in Tsawwassen at Marioā€™s Kitchen, circa 2003. Megan was a server and I remember her just being the absolute sweetest person, to everyone, including us phone girls lol.

The first two thing I noticed about her family was 1.) how beautiful and sweet they all were! and 2.) their perfect choice of cloths for a beach family photo session. Blue and white tones on a crystal clear evening was going to make for such dreamy photos.

The evening of their session was a warm summer night at Centennial Beach. We spent the hour of their family session hanging out, capturing the classic family portraits and the most beautiful in-between moments, which are always my favorite. I also LOVED capturing some special mom and dad portraits, it was the day after their anniversary after all :)

To the Reid family, thanks so much for allowing me to take your family portraits at Centennial Beach. It was such a nice night and loved the dynamic of your loving family.

I met up with Indy, Matt and there adorable son Adrian at Centennial Beach in sunny Tsawwassen for their family photos. Iā€™m not sure if it was the time of day, the setting, Indyā€™s dress or ALL of the above, but the color tone of these photos are so magical. Well, almost as magical as Adrianā€™s smile throughout the shoot :)

Adrian honestly made me feel like the funniest person on the planet. He would laugh and smile at all my ā€˜jokesā€™, which included playing peek-a-boo, tickling him with a soft plant, making funny faces. As long as he was cuddling with his mom and dad he was a happy camper.

Indy and Matt, thanks for allowing me to capture your family photos. You guys have such a happy, fun little boy and you all were such a pleasure to photograph!

CENTENNIAL BEACH ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS | COMMUNITY PHOTOGRAPHY SOUTH DELTA | TSAWWASSEN

The sky! Her dress. And the way he looked at her!

Iā€™m just swooning over K + T Centennial Beach engagement session in Tsawwassen. I love to leave plenty of time for engagement photos. This is the time I get to talk to the couple and get to know them. Iā€™m photographing their wedding after all!

I met the couple in the parking lot at Centennial Beach. The first thing I notices was how AMAZING they both looked! I like to think of the beginning of our shoot as the ā€˜warm upā€™. I generally get the couple to do things that may FEEL super awkward, but look GREAT on camera! They weā€™re both such great sports and we captured the most beautiful moments. Once the sun starts to set and we enter the ā€˜golden hourā€™, thatā€™s when we will head down to the beach for sunset photos.

I loved when Kathleen said, ā€˜so weā€™ve done lots of belly smooshing photos, can we just take some fun ones?ā€™ LOL! Yes! Iā€™m all about collaboration so they pulled out their sunnies for some casual fun photos.

As the sun set over boundary bay, the most beautiful pastel sky finished off their engagment photos. The wind picked up lightly and holy smokes, they looked stunning being photographed at the edge of the Pacific Ocean.

Kathleen and Tyler, thank you for letting me capture your photo session. As a Tsawwassen family photographer, to be able to capture two adults so in love, makes such a welcome photo shoot.

Mom and Dad Alison and Nathan have had lots of adventures together. They met in Milan Italy and he proposed on a beach in Sir Lanka. They lived in Singapore before coming back to BC to start a family (what a life!). And now they are onto their next adventure of welcoming baby #2 into their lives this coming May.

I had met the family before at a Centennial Beach wedding I photographed last summer. The wedding couple were the sweetest, down to earth couple, so you could only imagine they had the sweetest guests! Thatā€™s how I connected with Mom Alison.

We met at Centennial Beach for their family photos/maternity photo shoot. It was a beautiful, clear evening, but right before the shoot started a super cold ocean breeze picked up! We headed down to the beach and sweet little Isla lasted a total of 5 minutes before she was cuddled up in her parents arms. It made for the sweetest connection in the photos. She had her head barried in her parents arms, and every so often would pop her beautiful little face up for a picture. We didnā€™t last on the beach until sunset because it was so cold. We moved to the back field for some shelter (which we didnā€™t really get) however it made for a beautiful spot to take photos for sunset :)

To the Camrie family: I had a blast taking photos with you! Regardless of the wind and cold, Alison, Nathan and Isla, your smiles outshone everything! Iā€™m so looking forward to meeting baby sister this May. She is one lucky gal to be welcomed into a sweet loving home :)

WILSON CENTENNIAL BEACH FAMILY PHOTOS | TSAWWASSEN PHOTOGRAPHER | COMMUNITY PHOTOGRAPHY SOUTH DELTA

Summer has seems like a distant memory here in Tsawwassen now that the rain has moved in. It was only a couple weeks ago I was watching the sunset at Centennial Beach with the Wilson family taking their photos. As a South Delta photographer I love the summer for family portraits but I am excited to be moving into the fall for some fall foliage.

It was a blast taking photos with the Wilson family in Boundary Bay. It was a perfect summer evening and the sunset was cotton candy skies. It was an easy breezy photo session. So much family love. The poses came as natural as all the laughs we had.

Another beautiful night in sunny Tsawwassen for a family portrait session! I feel like I say it all the time, but I LOVE living here! Centennial Beach never disappoints for dreamy sunsets and crystal water - perfect for family photos. It is also a photographer bonus when the family shows up and the family is super adorable!
